Eligibility Criteria for CNET Counselling 2026
Interested students can verify their eligibility for CNET counselling by looking at the points below:
Age Requirement: As of December 31, 2026, the applicant’s age shall be at least 17 and no older than 35.
Educational Requirement: The student must have earned at least 45% of the possible score in the main subject of physics, chemistry, and biology in their 10+2 or its equivalent. For reserved categories like OBC, SC, ST students will receive a 5% relaxation.
Required Subject: English needs to be required at the 10 + 2 level in order to be admitted to the B.Sc. nursing program.
Medical Fitness: Candidates are selected based on their medical fitness. Not eligible applicant may enroll in the course until the University-appointed Medical Board determines them medically fit.

UP CNET Counselling Process 2026
There are three rounds to the ABVMU B.Sc. nursing counseling process: round 1, round 2, and a mop-up round. After the mop-up round, a stray round is held only if there are still seats available. Counseling is conducted exclusively online.

Step 1: Registration procedure
Enter your registration ID (which is the same as the application form) and password on the official website, abvmuup.edu.in, to register for the Online Counselling for Common Nursing Entrance Test (CNET).
All personal information, including the candidate’s name, mother’s and father’s names, DOB, category, and address, is immediately pre-filled upon signing in, just as it was when registering for Uttar Pradesh Common Nursing Entrance Test.
Step 2: Documents Uploading
Class 10 and 12 marksheets should be uploaded, together with the Uttar Pradesh state domicile status, minority status, and any appropriate category, domicile, or minority status documents.
Step 3: Application Fee & Security Payment
Pay INR 5000 as the counseling security cost and INR 500 as the online counseling registration fee. Both charges are paid online with a single Rs. 5,500 payment.
Following the conclusion of the complete counseling procedure, this amount is transmitted to the selected college and deducted from the tuition.
Step 5: Choice Filling & Selection Process
Candidates who have registered for counselling must select a college based on their preferences. It is recommended that they fill out as many options as possible in order to enhance the likelihood of being assigned a seat for entry.

Note: All applicants who were assigned seats in the first round must log in to the portal and choose one of the options below within the time and date specified in the schedule:
- Freeze Option: Accept the seat that has been allocated to you and do not take part in the second counseling round (freeze).
- Upgrade Option: Accepting the seat that has been assigned to them, they wish to upgrade and take part in the second round of counseling (float).
- Decline Option: Reject assigned seat and wishes to participate in round 2 of counselling (decline).
Step 4: Seat Confirmation Payment
It is mandatory for all candidates who were alloted seats and choose to Freeze or Upgrade Option to pay ABVMU UP a seat confirmation fee of Rs. 40,000 via online or challenge transfer.
Step 6: College Reporting & Admission Confirmation
After paying the seat confirmation fee, report at the designated college on the day and time listed in the schedule to complete the admissions process. Candidates must bring one set of self-attested photocopies of their documents in addition to their original certificates for physical document verification.
