The full form of MAHSA University is Malaysian Allied Health Sciences Academy. It was established in year 2004. The Founder of MAHSA University is Tan Sir Dr. Hj. Mohamed Hannifa. He the pro chancellor and Executive chairman of MAHSA Group. The strategies of MAHSA University are to provide education that is beyond the classroom boundaries.

MBBS in MAHSA University

MBBS in Malaysia is five year duration program. It is designed as per international standard. The curriculum of MBBS comprises Theory and practical. Practical session is organized at campus and campus hospitals. The entire curriculum is divided into 2 phases. Programs taught in MAHSA University provide wide exposure and professional skills to the students.

MAHSA University MBBS Duration and Curriculum

Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery is a 5 years program leads to MBBS degree. A World wide recognized MBBS degree is offered by the university after completing the program. MBBS is career oriented program with great exposure in clinical medicine.

Course Curriculum of MBBS is divided into two parts. Phase 1 and Phase 2. Phase 1 is basically conducted at university campus.

Phase 1 – Preclinical Session

Pre- clinical Session or Phase 1 spans for 2 years. In preclinical phase of the MBBS basic medical sciences are taught in organ-system blocks. Community medicine is also introduced during this phase. There were two major examinations during Phase 1. The first is at the end of year 1 and the second at the end of year 2.

Non-block modules such as Personal and Professional Development (PPD) and Early Clinical Exposure run across the two years to emphasize the relationship between basic medical sciences and clinical practice.

Phase 2 – Clinical Program Session

After the completion of Phase 1, Phase 2 of the program will be introduced to the student that is the clinical phase. This phase covers Clinical subjects and Clinical practice from the 3^rd to 5^th year. It is conducted at hospitals and health clinics recognized as teaching centers for the MBBS faculty.

The student will undergo rotational postings of 2 to 8 weeks in the disciplines outlined in the programme structure. Students have to pass the Final Professional Examination at the end of year 5 to graduate.

MAHSA University MBBS Eligibility Criteria for Indian students

The Eligibility criteria to get Entry in MBBS program at University. Following are the basic requirements that one should have to fulfill to get admission.

• The candidates seeking admission in MBBS must have completed 12^th standard education from a recognized board of India.
• The candidates must have secured at least 70% marks in 12^th standard in 3 subjects from science stream i.e., Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics.
• He or She must have passed NEET entrance examination with good grades.
• Also, they have passed any of one exam such TOFLE with 550 or IELTS 6.
