Pondicherry (Puducherry) NEET Counselling Eligibility Criteria 2025
The following criteria must be met in order to appear in NEET (UG), per the relevant NMC and DCI regulations:
Nationality Criteria: A candidate must be an Indian national in order to be admitted through CENTAC for the Government Quota, Other State Quota, Management Quota, and Self-supporting Quota.
Age Requirement: They were either 17 years old when they were admitted or will be 17 years old on or before December 31st, the day they were admitted to the first year of the undergraduate medical course.
Candidates in the General (UR), General-EWS, SC/ST, OBC-NCL, and PwD categories must be born on or before December 31, 2004.
The highest age restriction for NEET (UG) is 25 years old as of the exam date; candidates who fall under the SC/ST/OBC-NCL and PwD categories are exempt from this requirement by five years.
Entrance Exam: NEET (UG) eligibility is also required for Indian citizens and overseas citizens of India (OCI) who plan to enroll in undergraduate medical programs at a foreign medical or dental institution.
