After the NEET results, Maharashtra NEET Counselling will be held. On May 5th, 2024, NEET 2024 was planned. - Qualification for Institutional Quota (For Courses in MBBS and BDS)
Institutional Quota Eligibility (For Courses Other Than MBBS and BDS Course)
- Any eligible applicants may be admitted on an India-wide basis, including non-resident Indians (NRI) and Overseas Citizens of India (OCI). Additionally, Outside Maharashtra candidates (OMS) who took the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test and were found to be eligible for admission to undergraduate programs in Ayurveda, Unani, Homeopathy, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Prosthetics and Orthotics, and B.Sc. Nursing may be admitted on the basis of merit among applicants for institutional quota seats. The relevant universities will receive applications from all qualified candidates registered with the State CET cell at their respective campuses in order to fill these seats.
Domicile of Candidate
- To be eligible for any Health Science Courses, the candidate must have been born on or before December 31, 2004. Valid proof will be the candidate’s name on the birth certificate, their secondary school certificate (SSC or comparable examination certificate), or their school leaving certificate attesting to their date of birth.
MBBS/BDS
- At the HSC (or equivalent) Examination, a candidate from the OPEN and EWS Categories must have received at least 50% (i.e., 150 out of 300) in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. A candidate who is part of the constitutional reserve or a candidate who is a person with a disability under the constitution must have received at least 40% (or 120 out of 300) in the combined Physics, Chemistry, and Biology sections of the HSC (or equivalent) Examination. In order to be considered for the General category, a candidate with a disability must receive at least 45% of the possible points (135 out of 300) in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) when taken jointly at the HSC (or a similar exam), as determined by the relevant Central Council.

Interested candidates may register for the Maharashtra MBBS Counselling & BDS Counselling 2024 by visiting the Directorate of Medical Education and Research, Maharashtra’s official portal. Let’s talk about the Maharashtra NEET counselling 2024 process first, though. The specific steps included in the counselling process are outlined below.
- Only candidates who are found to be eligible after document verification and who received an Acknowledgment of Document Verification are able to complete the Preference Form.
- Only one Preference Form needs to be submitted by the candidate. No opportunity to fill out a new preference form or modify previous choices will be available after the preference form has been completed and submitted.
