NEET Eligibility Criteria 2026
National Eligibility cum Entrance Test is a very popular examination among Indian medical students who are preparing to establish their careers in the medical field. Registration Process:

- Registration is an online process. Therefore, candidates have to visit the official website of NTA. To start the application filing procedure, candidates must have a valid contact number and email ID.
- Go to the official website, and click on the online registration link.
- Now the second step is to click on “New Registration” on the application form.
- When the new application will open fill in general details that are required for getting a Login ID and password.
- After filling out the form, you will get an OTP on your registered mobile number.
- Fill in that OTP number on the application form.
- After filling OTP, you will get your application form number.
- The next step is to log in with your application form number and Password. After filling password, click the login button.
- After completing the first step [Login], the second step is to fill application form. In this step, you have to fill in information like personal details, qualifications, address details, etc. An examination center is also chosen in this step. Choose exam centers wisely because you cannot change them later.
- In the next step, you have to upload scanned copies of the required documents. While uploading documents, take care of the specified dimensions set by NTA.
- Now the last step is to pay application fees and take a printout for future use.

NEET application fees vary according to the categories. Paying application fees is the last step of registration. Candidates can pay there either by debit card, credit card e-challan, or net banking.

NEET 2026 Exam Pattern
As the NEET is an examination conducted for providing admission to medical courses and programs, this examination generally contains questions based on three main subjects Physics, chemistry, and biology. Later, biology is divided into two parts called Botany and Zoology. The pattern of examination is Multiple-Choice Type Questions.
There are a total of 180 questions to be asked in this examination for 720 marks. The candidates have to answer 180 questions. Each subject contains 45 questions for 180 marks. 4 marks is allotted for each correct answer and 1 mark is deducted for every incorrect answer.

NEET UG Exam Language

NEET Selection Process

NEET UG Counselling Process 2026
The NEET counselling 2026 will be conducted within a month after the result announcement. The official date for counselling is not decided yet. Students who have scored high percentile have higher chances to secure seats in the best medical institutes.
The counselling will be conducted for 15% of All India Quota seats, and State Quota Seats.
