The Faculty of Medicine, Chettinad Hospital and Research Institute offer medical undergraduate, postgraduate, and superspeciality programs (CHRI).
CHRI is a popular destination for ambitious students from all over the world. The programs ranging from 1 undergraduate (MBBS) to 20 postgraduate (MD/MS), 7 super speciality (DM/MCh), and 1 Post Graduate Diploma course in clinical embryology. CHRI began with an allowed admission capacity of 150 students for the MBBS course, which has now been increased to 250 seats.
MBBS Duration
The MBBS Course duration at CHRI is 4 ½ with one year mandatory internship. CHRI features devoted and experienced faculty, student-centric innovative teaching & learning methods, great infrastructure, state-of-the-art lecture theatres, a well-stocked library, museums, laboratories, and skill and virtual labs that provide deep knowledge and hands-on practice. - During the admission, the candidate must be 17 years old or older. According to NEET-UG, the maximum age of the candidate should be 25 years.
- Candidates must have completed 10+2 from a recognized board with a minimum of 50% in Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany or Zoology) as primary subjects. The minimum mark required for ST/SC applicants is 40%, and 45% for PwD candidates.

SS Admission Process
Admission to the Doctorate of Medicine (DM) and Master of Chirurgiae (MCH) programmes provided at Chettinad Medical College is based on the NEET SS examination administered by NBE.
